What problems can rhinoplasty correct/fix?
Rhinoplasty (nose surgery) can fix a variety of problems. It can reshape the nose, make it larger or smaller, change the angle of its tip and/or render it in better proportion with other facial features. Nose surgery can also fix structural problems that may be affecting a person’s breathing or causing congestion, such as nasal valve collapse.
Dr. Rizk may change any of the following during rhinoplasty surgery:
- Size of nose
- Width of the nasal bridge
- Profile of the nose (may address humps or depressions)
- Shape of the nasal tip, which may be too large, bulbous, droopy or upturned
- Nasal deviation
He can also address issues stemming from previous nose surgeries, such as over-resection or nasal collapse.
