Dear patients,

The health and safety of our patients and staff is of the utmost importance to us. We are reaching out to assure you that we are doing everything possible to protect all of you from the effects of the coronavirus. We believe the following steps will provide for optimal safety and comfort during your appointment:

Step 1- Disinfectant policy

Our building has initiated a rigorous daily disinfecting of all surfaces in the common areas. All surfaces within our examination room including the doorknobs, chairs, and countertops are disinfected after every single patient visit by our medical assistants as well all common areas in our office.

Step 2 - Travel Policy

None of the doctors or staff at our practice have traveled outside of New York in the last 4 weeks.

Step 3 - Symptoms Policy

Any staff with any flu-like symptoms will be instructed to see their primary care physician and to remain home.

Step 4 – Scheduling Policy

We have significantly reduced the number of patient visits per hour to avoid congestion in the office or excess waiting in the waiting room.

Step 5 – Health Advisory Policy

We are implementing current best practices from the CDC, New York Dept. of Public Health, and New York Health Systems by asking the following questions on the phone and in-person:

    1.    In the past 2 weeks, have you traveled abroad, especially to
China, Iran, Italy or South Korea? (Yes or No)
    2.    Have you come into contact with anyone who has traveled to a
Level 3 country (China, Iran, Italy or South Korea), in the past 2
weeks (Level 3 countries will be updated per the CDC website)?
           (Yes or No)
    3.    In the past two weeks, have you come into contact with anyone
with flu-like symptoms? (Yes or No)
    4.    Do you currently have any of the following symptoms?
           (Yes or No)
            a.    Fever
            b.    Cough
            c.    Difficulty breathing
            d.    Body aches
            e.    Diarrhea

Should any federal, state or local guidelines change, we will inform you accordingly. We look forward to taking care of your health and surgical needs in a safe and comfortable environment. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions.
