How Is a Deep Neck Lift Performed?
When performing a deep neck lift, instead of the traditional incisions of a neck lift, Dr. Rizk creates a smaller incision under the chin, via which he will lift and manipulate the layers of the neck. Each deep neck lift surgery is different and may require other incisions depending on the needs and goals of the patient. Pockets of excess fat in these deeper layers of the neck may also be eliminated, contributing to an overall more natural finished look.
Once the muscle has been released from the layers underneath, it is lifted and repositioned into its new and improved contour. The excess skin is then trimmed away to create a smoother and more proportionate finish. Liposuction may also be used as an auxiliary technique to contour the neck area further. Results of a deep neck lift are immediately visible but will continue to improve over time as any post-surgery swelling subsides.
