Do You Recommend Getting a Celebrity Nose Job?

Some people think that celebrities have access to some special type of nose job procedure that makes their results come out better. This is not the case. For one, not all celebrities get good results. But it’s not a good idea to try to copy their results anyhow. Your nose is specific to your face, so your rhinoplasty procedure needs to be tailored to your face and your needs alone.
Celebrity Nose Jobs Are Not Always Ideal
It may seem like stars get the best plastic surgery outcomes. Certain celebrities, such as Halle Berry, have seemingly gone from pretty to supermodel overnight. But the reason they seem to suddenly appear looking beautiful and refreshed is that they’ve been resting and recovering while you were diligent with work and busy with everyday life.
Need proof that celebrity nose jobs are not always ideal? Look no further than Michael Jackson. He may have been the King of Pop, but he was also the poster child for celebrity rhinoplasty gone awry. Botched or overdone celebrity nose jobs are usually the result of unrealistic goals on the part of the celebrity. Some celebrities insist on having multiple revision nose jobs because they’re never satisfied. After being turned down by the surgeon who performed their original procedure, they sometimes seek out disreputable surgeons who are willing to take their money. The result: a botched nose job.
The Goal: A Natural-Looking Nose
It’s one thing to want your nose to look better; it’s quite another to want your nose to look like Jessica Alba’s – or any other person’s. Your nose is just that — your nose. If you have large facial structures, for example, a nose like Kris Jenner’s is not going to look good on your face. Your goal should be to improve the appearance of your nose while maintaining facial harmony with the rest of your face. This is not possible if you have someone else’s nose.
Every person’s nose is unique, and needs to be in harmony with the rest of the facial features. Your rhinoplasty procedure should take into consideration not just your facial structure but also your ethnicity, because different ethnicities have different nasal characteristics.
How to Achieve a Great Result
While you shouldn’t seek to have the nose of your favorite celebrity, you may be able to take a page out of his or her book by doing everything possible to encourage good results.
First and foremost, it is important that you choose a board-certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in nose jobs. Your surgeon should perform multiple rhinoplasty procedures per week, and should have experience performing nose surgery on people of various ethnicities. He or she should also have access to the latest technologies and state-of-the-art facilities.
Another thing you can do to ensure a good result is to recover properly. Take the appropriate amount of time off after your procedure, and use the best skin care products available, which will be part of your postoperative recovery kit if you hire a top surgeon.
You will likely experience some stuffiness following your procedure, but avoid blowing your nose. Decongestants can help.
Everyone experiences swelling after rhinoplasty. Your doctor should provide you with cold compresses, pain medication and/or other methods to reduce the swelling. Keep your head elevated for a few days, and sleep on your back for several weeks.
It is important that you avoid resuming vigorous activity for several weeks. Also avoid wearing glasses for a few weeks.
Another thing you can do to encourage a positive outcome is take good care of your skin. Use mild products such as soap-free cleansers and moisturizers without fragrance. Also be diligent about protecting your skin from the sun, particularly in the first few days, when you should completely avoid the sun. And be sure to use sunscreen every day; most doctors recommend using a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or 40.
It is important that you allow your wounds to heal. Do not pick at scabs or peeling skin, which can cause scarring and/or infection.
Last but not least, be sure to hydrate. Drink about eight glasses of water per day. This will rejuvenate your skin and flush out toxins.
